NetSPI Project Management

The project management role is a cross-functional and integral part of every vulnerability management program from NetSPI. Project managers bear the responsibility of effectively working not only with pentesters but also with sales, finance, developers, and management, all aimed at driving a path to success for the client. The NetSPI project management team also ensures that project tracking is timely, reports are getting to clients by the promised date, budgeting alignment is maintained, and finally, work with the team to schedule client tests and ensure the maximum use of resource allocation.

During the project kickoff call, NetSPI’s project managers and other team leads will work with Client to define assessment requirements, goals, and deliverables, identify areas of risk, and plan a timeline for all phases of the assessment. Additionally, NetSPI will work with Client to identify and address any areas of concern that Client may have about the engagement(s).

A key to the success of our engagements is a highly disciplined project management framework. While we encourage our own testers to apply the most creative and innovative testing techniques, we also insist on discipline, consistency, and efficiency. To ensure that focus, The NetSPI Platform provides a predictable, repeatable workflow that brings order to what are often highly unpredictable and disorderly testing processes.

Through The NetSPI Platform, your penetration testing engagement will be made easier to:

  • Accelerate remediation efforts
  • Test your environment more often
  • Aggregate, correlate, and normalize findings from proven testing tools
  • Automatically import test findings, verification items, and repetitive and common vulnerabilities
  • Identify critical risks and prioritize remediation efforts
  • Deliver high-value reports on-demand
  • Leverage the power of GRC and ticketing/workflow solutions
  • Align expectations through thorough planning and assessment definition
  • Efficient execution of assessment through standardized processes and templates
  • Reduce assessment issues through proactive project management processes
  • Streamlined communication to support more effective decision making
  • Less rework and a higher quality product

Our project management engagement methodology is designed to ensure everyone on our team is armed with a formal framework for success. As such, we hold regular briefings on assessment status and issues related to scope, schedule, deliverables, assessment quality, and team interaction. The result: a structured and coordinated team approach that delivers consistent results, effectively manages risks and, ultimately, ensures your assessment goals are realized.
