As a Senior Security Consultant, Andrew Bindner is responsible for helping clients identify and mitigate potential security risks within their IoT and embedded hardware ecosystems. Throughout his 25-years of experience, Andrew supported contracts for many top level government agencies, such as NSA, CIA, FBI, DoD, and ODNI early in his career before transitioning to the private sector where he supported penetration testing of wired and wireless networks, web applications, API, mobile applications, IoT devices, critical infrastructure, and OT environments. Andrew also performs red teaming, purple teaming, social engineering including covert breaking and entering, and supports the occasional table-top exercise.

Andrew is very active in the security community, a published author, and regularly speaks at notable conferences in US and abroad. His recent contribution, IronJump, a lightweight and cross platform SSH Bastion management system, unveiled at Black Hat Arsenal 2025. In his spare time, he is a staff member to the Radio Frequency Hacker’s Society, contributes to the Bio Hacking and IoT villages at DefCon, and loves hacking children’s toys and consumer devices with his wife.
