Minneapolis, MN — April 29, 2011
NetSPI is pleased to announce that its consultants will be leading four breakout sessions at this year's Secure360° Conference. These include:
- Yan Kravchenko, presenting HITRUST - Silver bullet of healthcare compliance? The session will address HITRUST as an organization, changes it has undergone, the HITRUST Common Security Framework, and feedback gathered from the local HITRUST SIG.
- Seth Peter and Kristi Yauch, presenting What Risks Lurk Behind Your 3rd Party Enterprise Applications? This session will address the ability of vendors of feature-rich software to provide security as well. Kristi Yauch of HealthEast Care System and Seth Peter of NetSPI will present the results of comprehensive security reviews of third party applications and issues they raise for dealings with your software vendors.
- Scott Sutherland and Anti Rantisaari presenting When Databases Attack. This presentation will explore common threats and vectors that may be leveraged by attackers to gain unauthorized access to databases containing credit card numbers, social security numbers, healthcare records, and other sensitive data. It will also show how such databases are being used to escalate privileges in Windows environments and propagate botnets across the Internet.
- Michael Anderson presenting There's an App for That. This session addresses new ways of penetration testing modern mobile devices to protect against compromise. It will specifically show how a vanilla Linux OS in a "chroot jail" can be used to avoid the cost of porting individual applications to a mobile platform.
The 6th Annual Secure360° Conference
The conference theme is Moderating Global Risk. In a time of global economy, global warming, global communications, global trade, and global entertainment, we cannot eliminate risk, but we can moderate it. The Conference will take place at the St. Paul River Center on May 10-11 2011. For information on conference schedules, programs, and speakers, go to http://secure360.org.
