Deke George and Seth Peter, the founders of NetSPI, were already experts in computer forensics.
They had gained a comprehensive view of information security by working with financial services
companies, government agencies, healthcare organizations, power utilities, educational institutions,
and businesses that handled payment cards. They knew that most responses to information security were tactical, reactive, and incomplete.
They developed a proactive and inclusive approach to information security—with business
goals in mind. The company has grown to become one of the nation's leading providers of independent
IT security audit and assessment services.
